The ICV (Infantry Carrier Vehicle) Stryker is a family of 8 wheeled armoured fighting vehicles derived from the Canadian LAVIII. Stryker vehicles are produced by General Dynamics Land Systems Canada for the US Army. It has 4-wheel drive (8×4) and can be switched to all-wheel drive (8×8).
The vehicle is named for two unrelated American servicemen who posthumously received the Medal of Honour: Private First Class Stuart Stryker and Specialist Four Robert Stryker who died in the Vietnam War.
Armed with a remote control 50 cal weapons station. Originally designed to carry infantry into battle, this vehicle also saw service with special forces in Iraq with both DELTA and the SAS.
